This policy explains what happens to information when you use Money Map Makers. Effective date: September 1, 2026.

Information the trip budget calculator stores

The trip budget calculator runs entirely in your browser. When you choose to save your inputs, they are written to your browser's local storage on your own device — they are not transmitted to our servers, and we do not receive a copy. Clearing your browser data, using a different browser, or using a different device will remove or hide that saved information. Exporting your estimate creates a JSON file that is saved directly by your browser to your own device; we do not receive a copy of exported files.

Information we receive automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics infrastructure may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited, used in aggregate to understand site usage and to maintain security. We do not use this information to build individual profiles for advertising purposes beyond what is disclosed in our Cookie Policy.

Information you send us directly

If you email us through the addresses listed on our Contact page, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and, where relevant, to improve our guides.

Children's privacy

Money Map Makers is intended for a general adult audience planning travel and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site or tools change. We will update the effective date above when we do.
